James Hickerson Partner Development Manager, Thompson Reuters

Mr. Hickerson brings 22-years as a veteran with sales, marketing, and training experience in the healthcare industry related to patient identification and patient safety. He has led the development and growth of a new sales/distribution channel by establishing strategic relationships with hospital information systems companies.

Mr. Hickerson is Partner Development Manager with the Healthcare Business of Thomson Reuters, the most trusted name in evidence-based medicine. He is responsible for leading the development and growth of a new sales and distribution channels by establishing strategic relationships with hospital information systems companies. Mr. Hickerson also successfully developed new products and solutions that not only grew sales, but also strengthened relationships with multi-year customers.

Mr. Hickerson held similar positions within the healthcare industry with both Medi-Span and First DataBank, nationally recognized leaders in the pharmaceutical data information industry. Mr. Hickerson spent eight years as Director of Healthcare Marketing with Wallace Computer Services, where he was responsible for the development of Marketing and Sales Training during the creation of a new National Healthcare Division. He oversaw the development of a National Healthcare Account Strategy and the creation of a Business Partner Program that established a new distribution channel with hospital information systems companies. Mr. Hickerson was also responsible for the creation of a new program for process re-engineering solutions that increased accuracy and streamlined the collection, movement, utilization, and retention of patient information. In the final three years of his tenure, the healthcare division grew in sales from $24 million to $60 million, and healthcare sales specialists from 28 to 93 individuals.

Mr. Hickerson graduated from the Purdue University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Sales and Marketing, and an Associate Degree in Product Management and Distribution.

An advisor to CEOs and governing boards who want to “define and secure their preferred future”, Mike has also been a principal in businesses as diverse as health, banking, commercial reality services and internet commerce. He was an organizer and director of American Home Bank and a director of the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship. He is currently a director of Insparisk, a safety inspection company, Foundations Associates, a non-profit serving the multiply disabled and Hope International Capital Corporation, an investment vehicle for scaling Hope’s microfinance initiatives in 14 of the poorest nations of the world.

Mike has written for Emerald Press’ Handbook of Business Strategy and McGraw Hill’s Handbook of Consulting based on his role in the development of IBM’s consulting skills school. Jerry K. Johnson D.D.S., MS, Rear Admiral USN (Ret) Chief Navy Dental Corps

Admiral Johnson is a career military veteran who spent 32 years of continuous active duty in the U.S. Navy, seven of which were served in the Marine Corps.  Admiral Johnson started his career as a Navy Prosthodontist and worked his way through various ranks and dental positions within the U.S. Military.  As an Executive Officer for the Navel Dental Center (1987-1990) Admiral Johnson was responsible for daily operations of seven clinics in Norfolk and internationally leading over 100 dental officers.  He led the development and instituted a “Phased Dentistry” Program that changed the way the Navy Dental Corps delivered dentistry.  Admiral Johnson was promoted to Rear Admiral and took responsibility as Chief of Plans, Analysis and Evaluation reporting to the Surgeon General leading the effort responsible for performance improvement, strategic planning, annual performance for over 52,000 individuals in Navy Medicine.  In 1998 he was promoted to Rear Admiral Upper Half (2 stars) and given the responsibility for Chief of Navy Dental Corps responsible for recruiting, training, retention, operational support and deployment of all dental resources.  Following this successful assignment he held the position of Chief of Dental Division responsible for over 1,500 dentists globally.  Under his leadership Admiral Johnson delivered superior results with the Navy Dental Corps attaining record levels of dental readiness and dental health for Sailors and Marines.

Admiral Johnson retired in 2002 and serves as an independent consultant specializing in utilizing metrics to achieve measured quality improvement and balanced performance.  He is an active veteran of the U.S. Navy and still maintains his contacts and relationships at all levels of the military including Flag Officers and Joint Chiefs of Staff.

In addition to his leadership and as a practicing Prosthodontist, Admiral Johnson holds distinctions as Alumnus of the year from the Marquette University School of Dentistry, Navy Commendation Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (3 medals), Legion of Merit and Distinguished Service Medal and has been published in the Journal of American Dental Association, Prosthetic Dentistry and Navy Medicine.

With his background Admiral Johnson is uniquely qualified to help position the I-DENTI-FIED product as a solution for Veterans and the active military.

Troy Reiff RN, BS, Executive Director of Operations/CNO, St Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital

A healthcare seasoned executive, who has been CEO, built and operated hospitals and understands the value of technology and its impact on healthcare cost and effectiveness. Mr. Reiff is a subject matter expert for Ascension Health Ventures where he introduces and reviews new healthcare innovation with a strong emphasis on finding new technology for reducing patient harm and improving quality outcomes. He leads the RFID in Healthcare Consortium as Chief Operating Officer, a not-for profit, vendor neutral technology agnostic company whose purpose is to spread the knowledge of RFID and its benefits in healthcare, where he has spoken on a national level to healthcare leaders and developers of the technology. Mr. Reiff has led the direction of the use of RFID technology at St Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital by establishing a Living Lab to evaluate benefits of the technology.

Tim Monaghan Fire Fighter/EMT II, Instructor USDOT, EMA Director, FEMA All Hazards PIO, Trainer  Instructor

A 33-year career professional in the Fire & EMS Service, Mr. Monaghan has held significant roles from Firefighter/EMT, Fire Service trainer and multiple Officer positions.  Through his experience he possesses excellent knowledge regarding process and protocols of the fire and EMT services and has been involved most recently in developing training plans and performing training for new Firefighter/EMT’s.  Tim has been recognized for his knowledge and efforts by being named an instructor for the USDOT, EMA director and FEMA trainer.  Through these most recent positions he has broadened his knowledge to the needs of national emergency services organizations. He is a seasoned veteran who is well versed in planning, communicating, and implementing protocols and procedures to successfully deliver new programs to enhance safety for first responders and the public.

David N. Fritzsche, President, MidAmerica Partners

Mr. Fritzsche is Founder and President of MidAmerica Partners, LLC, a diversified growth services firm that offers investment services, sales representation and strategic growth advisory to high growth medical device and healthcare companies.  He has a wealth of managerial and executive experience at leading product and service firms across numerous industries in operational, sales & marketing and business development roles.  Over an 18-year career, he has delivered exceptional results for both start-up and Fortune 500 firms.

At a start-up medical device company Defibtech (2004-2008), Mr. Fritzsche served as V.P. of Sales & Marketing and later V.P. of Business Development, where he grew revenues from $2M to over $16M.  In October 2007 Defibtech was named as the fastest growing medical device company in the U.S. by Deloitte & Touche USA.  Previously, he spent 5 years in senior management positions with Ernst & Young Consulting (later Capgemini), and 8 years in operational, sales and consulting roles at industrial distribution leader W.W. Grainger.  Mr. Fritzsche has a BA from Middlebury College and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate school of Management, where he majored in Finance, Marketing Management and Strategy.
